Ah, poor laserdisc. You were so shiney, so crisp, so cool, so large and now so dead. Long, long dead right? Wrong. Pioneer has continued to make players and support the format since it was declared dead at the turn of the century. No Longer, they’ve given up the ghost and announced they are ceasing production of laserdisc players.
Now my signed collector’s edition of the Hellraiser LD will be even more worthless! Hooray!

Want a life sized Viper? How about about a Hull Breach Sealing Device? Well now you can have one! Pretty much every damn prop and costume from Battlestar Galactica is headed to auction in January. Many of the props actually have working lights and instrument panels. Or you could just completely recreate Commander Adama’s entire study, right down to his painting of the 1st Cylon war. It’s a sci-fi geek’s wet dream.
